Watch reviews

This to me is one of the most attractive GMT watches. It gives off some tool watch vibes, it also gives off some luxurious vibes in a perfect mix. Despite its 39mm case size, it's still a bit of a chunky watch that wears a bit larger than you might expect. Part of it is the case that has almost no curvature to the ends and also the male end links that extend the effective lug to lug a bit. On my 6.5-inch wrist, I think I can pull it off. This is ...

It's going to be a challenge to review this watch without sounding like a marketing guy, but I’ll give it a shot. In short, the watch is great. The style is obviously inspired and CW doesn’t try to hide it, instead, they created their own interpretation of a fixed bezel GMT and I’m glad they did. I’m a big fan of the Rolex Explorer 2 but it's out of budget, current version is too large and the older version is…old…and out of budget. T...

I have the full-black version and it looks like it means business. Joking aside it's a great stealthy-looking sports watch. Also, I got the watch as a gift from my wife so if you are looking to gift this, yeah, go ahead, I think any watch lover would love it in the collection. The size is perfect for me, it doesn’t look chunky even though it's quite large and the band goes quite sharply downwards and not extending the effective “lug to lug”...

TLDR: A great watch for the money. I have two of these, the blue dial and the black PVD version and I don’t intend on selling either of them. At least not yet, after about 7-ish years of ownership on the PVD version and about 3 for the regular blue dial one. It’s a nice-looking dive watch, nothing too interesting but also not quite boring. The dial has a nice subtle sunburst effect on the colored versions but stays plain black on the PVD vers...

A watch that looks a lot more expensive than it really is. What drew me to it was the intricate textured dial but unfortunately, it has a major flaw. I got this watch for around $250 and for the money I think it's an excellent watch. The dial on the rose gold version in particular gives me vibes of brands much more expensive featuring multiple different textures and different dial levels giving it a lot of depth. The sun and moon complication is ...

This is a very small, very cute, and elegant jewelry/bracelet type of watch. Not too small to become impractical as a watch but enough to work well on a variety of dressy outfits. On the practicality side, it does feature a date window that is too small to see and consider practical but I don’t mind it. The gold tone on the two-tone version adds just a bit of flair without it becoming overwhelming. The dial also has a nice texture on it making ...

This is the first G-Shock that attracted me. It’s the right size and slimness without being too small and I love the pink shade used here. It is also light and comfortable on my wrist. The strap has some grooves on the underside which allows the skin to breathe a bit which helps during hot days. The only complaint I have is that they went with a plastic buckle instead of metal and I’m not sure how durable that is, so far so good but we’ll s...

I was drawn to this watch mainly due to the day window at 12. As far as I know, there aren’t many watches that feature a full name day window in the affordable spectrum, apart from some Hamiltons which are a bit more expensive. The watch isn’t bad but I’m also not in love with it. It has a bit of a unique case design, a bit of a cushion case design with some angular edges to it, is quite slim, and plays nicely with small wrists. It features...

This might not be the most popular opinion but this watch is not great. Not quite terrible mind you but not great. I have two of these, the two-tone and the yellow dial and I’ll probably end up selling at least one of them. Let's start from the beginning. At first glance, this watch looks like it's more expensive than it is. Its design shouldn’t work in a sense but somehow it does. The watch head has angular shapes and edges, the bracelet is ...

These dials are hard to beat. I have the green with gold colored markers and hands and it is a very luxurious-looking combo. The watch is a mix of retro-modern vibes with a boxed crystal but modern textured dial that literally dances in the light. It's hard to put it into words or in photos but in the dial is magic. The logo and markers are applied and the date window is nicely framed. The date wheel is not color-matched but is on a dark backgrou...

To me, this is the right amount of dress watch, not too minimalistic that it becomes boring but not too loaded that it moves away from what a dress watch should be. The dial does something interesting that you don’t see very often, it brings the minute track closer to the center of the dial touching the inward end of the hour markers. This does a few things to the overall vibe of the watch, it creates two zones to the dial, a very clean outer...
