I've had the Tsuyosa for over a year now! The watch is comfortable to wear. Very legible and gets a lot of attention with the bright yellow dial. The braclent is good, but the clasp could be better. It rattles a bit. Over all great watch and great value for the money.
I really wanted to like this watch. At first glance this is a killer watch. From the colorful textured dial to the sporty integrated bracelet design, the watch is eye catching and best part they're priced as entry level watches. All that is great... but for me I feel the overall quality/feel of the watch could be improved. Even a bit more weight might make it feel less cheap?
This might not be the most popular opinion but this watch is not great. Not quite terrible mind you but not great. I have two of these, the two-tone and the yellow dial and I’ll probably end up selling at least one of them.
Let's start from the beginning.
At first glance, this watch looks like it's more expensive than it is. Its design shouldn’t work in a sense but somehow it does.
The watch head has angular shapes and edges, the bracelet is a very round president style. In my mind, at least this shouldn’t work but it does. At the same time, it gives off some Rolex vibes, probably due to the bracelet, hour markers and hands combo but I don’t dislike that.
The dial layout is very simple but I think the date magnifier breaks that cleanliness a bit and I like that. I’m not a fan of too minimalist dials. Overall, it's quite an elegant dial.
The bracelet is very nice with individually articulating center links making it very comfortable. The way the bracelet articulates also helps with wearability making it wear quite small for an integrated bracelet watch. For comparison, I can’t pull off a PRX but this one works well on my wrist.
So what I don’t like?
The movement is where the watch loses points in my eyes. Accuracy is not great, actually quite terrible on one of the watches (I don’t have exact data but it's a few minutes a week off).
The other thing, it's not hacking. For a watch launched in 2023, this is quite disappointing.
Sure, it's a lower-end movement in an affordable watch but I would’ve expected something just a bit better. Maybe the next versions will have improvements as this watch has proven to be quite successful.
The other big thing I don’t like is that it’s a nightmare to set. I have small hands and the crown is still very hard to operate. It is very small and placed in a very inconvenient place on the case, not to mention it's buried in the case and it doesn’t come out much when pulling it out.
So yeah, quite a nightmare to set, and this leads to not much wear. When I think about setting this guy up I have to be prepared to be patient and very slow in doing it because it is slow.
So, if you are charmed by the looks try it out, just don’t buy two of them.
